Fairground favorite for public and operators alike
The Uden Mega Fair attracts thousands of visitors every year. This has everything to do with the spectacular range of attractions. But not only visitors are enthusiastic: the Uden Fair is also loved by fairground operators. Many return every year and are now part of the permanent furniture. Johannes Dauphin travels around the country and abroad with his attractions and has already stood at the Uden Fair several times. "It felt right away," he says. "You can see the enthusiasm of fairmaster Pascal Donkers in every detail. Uden has the fairground heart in the right place."
Several years ago, Johannes was at the Uden Mega Fair with an impressive hover carousel that immediately caught on. "They ran away with it," he says. He's been eager to return ever since. During the corona years it started itching: the idea arose to develop a new version of that hover tower. That one is here now: Air Force.
The new attraction was built with the latest technology. Think of hydraulic floors, a folding back wall and a completely new front entrance. Everything has been designed down to the last detail, with attention to experience, comfort and safety. The exterior has also been completely renewed. Top designer Alex Pijl gave the attraction a modern, cool style with references to aviation history. The result: colorful, sleek and impressive.
Air Force had its national premiere at the Koningskermis in The Hague. This was followed by Amsterdam and Dordrecht, where the attraction became a crowd puller each time. And now it is Uden's turn. The attraction towers high above the terrain and offers a spectacular view of the region. And on a hot July day, a ride provides the necessary refreshment.
The arrival of Air Force is also enthusiastically received from within the municipality. Alderman Gijs van Heeswijk opens the fair on Friday afternoon, July 18, at 4 p.m., at the attraction on Sacrament Road.
